Silver Award is the Icing on the Cake
Last week we entered a bespoke hand piped wedding cake into the International Salon Culinaire competition held at the London Excel from 29th Feb – 3rd March and we are thrilled to say we came away with a silver award for our latest creation.
Salon Culinaire is the UK’s largest and most prestigious chef competition programme that showcases that impressive skills and talent within the industry. To come away with a silver award at this level of competition is an amazing achievement.
The design itself was a four tier wedding cake featuring all edible decoration. Crisp white icing with sharp edges contrast against the softness of the ruffles and the delicate hand piped details at the base of the tiers. The monogram and wedding date in Roman Numerals gives the design a unique and personal touch.
This win has come at the start of what will be a fantastic year for the team at La Belle Cake Company. Hot on the heels of the launch of our 2016 Wedding Collection, next month we celebrate our 10th Birthday so we have lots of wonderful and exciting events coming up. Our 10th birthday celebrations start on Saturday 2nd April where we will be cutting a large birthday cake with a very special guest so be sure to come along and join us from 2pm for lots of fun and festivities including music by the fabulous Blue Mark Entertainment and magic by the wonderful Adrian Ward.
